This test proves a home buyer is able to afford their mortgage payments as rates rise ⬆️

📈The qualifying rate is based on either the current benchmark rate or the rate your lender is offering plus 2% (whichever is higher)

Back to school means back to defining! 📚

✏️The down payment is the initial lump sum paid towards a house, normally between 5%-20% of the purchase price.

✂️ The purchase price minus the down payment is the remaining mortgage or loan on the home.

I know you’re all thinking, how could it possibly be the middle of summer if I can barely remember the first half flying by? 😳

Unfortunately, this seems to be a pattern here in Winnipeg, and with that, I wanted to check in with everyone; have you gotten to replacing those old boards on the cottage deck? 🏡

☕️Have you taken that friend out for coffee?

🍽 Have you checked out that new dinner spot yet? (I’m comin’ for ya, )

We tend to let these things slip our mind as we prioritize other tasks — especially with increasing rates, it’s getting harder to focus on the small things.

Hopefully August allows you to fit these small things in, so we can start enjoying some nice weather, as well as some awesome pavilions!
