Dave joined Evangeline in May 2013 having had a close working relationship with the company for many years through his previous corporate position. As President of Evangeline, he is responsible for both the continued growth and strategic direction of the company and as a Financial Advisor, he specializes in pre- and post-retirement investment and income planning.

He has been in the financial services industry since 1986 having previously worked as Regional Director with Seattle, WA based Russell Investments, one of the world’s largest pension managers and was a Senior Vice President with Mackenzie Investments, a member of the Power Financial Group of Companies. Dave is a former Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Canada where he led a personal investment consulting group that provided investment and tax planning advice to over 400 individuals and small businesses throughout Atlantic Canada. He is also a former Manager of Personal and Professional Banking with TD Bank. CBC Radio listeners may recall that Dave hosted a weekly radio segment, Money Talks with David Morse on CBC Main Street for several years. He was also a contributing author to the National Best Selling Financial book, Tips from the Top, 53 Bright Ideas From Canada’s Top Financial Advisors.

David attended the Dalhousie University School of Advanced Business Management in Halifax, NS through The Institute of Canadian Bankers and has earned a Masters degree in Business Administration. He also is a Certified Executor Advisor. David is an avid cyclist and was an instructor in the mixed martial art discipline of Kajukenbo for many years. He was also head coach of both the Kings County Academy and Northeast Kings Education Centre school track & field teams and was the sprint coach for The Annapolis Valley Running Club. David grew up in Bridgetown and now lives with his family in Kentville, Nova Scotia.
