Supporting your community is key. Giving back, helping others, sponsoring events or people. It's all so good for the soul. How lucky is our town to have a company like BOB's Footwear & Apparel Inc. that sponsors over 170 athletes. My kiddo is one of the lucky rodeo kids that proudly wears her Bob's shirts and loves the store and the owners (and their kids.) Big thanks to Bobs for sponsoring these kiddos and to Cassandra for the beautiful pics she got our our kids at the BC Little Britches Rodeo finals in Merritt.

I don’t barrel race often, but when I do it’s for a good cause! Big thanks to Melissa Rosette and Adam Cox hosting the CDT Race for a Cause. All fund raised will be going to Afri-Root Collective to pay for school supplies for kids, and supplies for women who make amazing items like bags and purses that they sell world-wide. We are always keen to sponsor such amazing events and the winners of these beautiful mirrors were Nicole Roberts and Ellie Hill. Congrats ladies! And in case you were wondering about my barrel racing skills, I was likely last place 😂

The life you're living today may not be the life you insured.

Major milestones can change what you're protecting, who depends on you, and the goals you're working toward. That's why reviewing your coverage from time to time is just as important as reviewing other aspects of your financial plan.

Let these questions guide your insurance review: https://www.raymondjames.ca/commentary-and-insights/life-events-lifestyle-and-technology/2026/08/25/important-questions-for-your-insurance-coverage

Last post for the month of April!

You Deserve to Be Wealthy Too.

Somewhere along the way, many women were taught to play small with money. They didn't have a say, didn't take risks, had no control, didn't ask questions.

I'm here to tell you:
You deserve to understand your finances
You deserve to build wealth
You deserve to feel confident making financial decisions

This isn't just about money. It's about independence, choices and creating the life YOU want.

Please leave a comment if you have anything you'd like to learn more about in a little monthly series.

We're almost done the month of April but I still got a couple more tips for you ladies!

Financial planning isn't just about growing your wealth. It's about protecting it.

Ask yourself:
- Do I have an emergency fund?
- Do I have life insurance that protects your family?
- Do I have a plan if life doesn't go as expected?

Honestly, it's easy to plan for the expected. It's the unexpected that gets us, and that's the hardest part of life. Having a plan in place isn't about fear- it's about confidence and security, and ultimately peace of mind.

Take control.

"Investing Isn't Just for 'Rich People'"

This is one of the biggest myths I hear by far. There's a misconception that you can't start investing until you have more money.

Here's the truth:
Investing is how you BUILD your wealth, not something you do after you have it.

Even small, but consistent contributions can grow significantly over time thanks to a little thing called compound growth. I'll say it before and I'll say it again, you don't need thousands to start, you just need to begin. Paying yourself first is a great way to do it!

If you've been waiting for the "perfect time" to start investing, this is your sign to start now. Remember, everybody starts somewhere.

Where Is Your Money Actually Going?

Before you can grow your money, you need to understand it.

Honestly, most of the women I meet and know aren't "bad with money", they're unaware of where it's going. Especially when we pay with debit and credit cards, it's so easy to lose track.

Try this simple exercise for a week:
- look at your last 30 days of spending (scan your statements)
- Categorize it (housing, food, kids, subscriptions, clothes) etc.
- Then ask yourself: Does this align with my priorities?

No judgment either! Just make yourself aware.

The point of this is when you see your habits clearly, you can then start making some big changes. The best way to get big long-term results, is to make small shifts along they way.

I've heard from a few different women these past couple weeks that have all come to me with the same problem. They feel like they're not confident with their money and have a lot of uncertainty around it.

So, since spring is in the air and it's the season of growth and new beginnings I'm taking this month to focus on women and growing their confidence around their finances.

Money Confidence Starts Here;

Let's be honest- many women (and a lot of men too!) were never taught how to feel confident with money.... we were either told to "save" or "don't spend so much".

This month I'm changing that.

Each week, I'll be sharing simple, real-life financial tips to help you;
1) Feel more confident with your money
2) Understand investing (without all the industry jargon)
3) Build a plan that actually fits YOUR life

Because, as I always tell my clients, financial independence isn't just about the numbers, it's about freedom, having options and peace of mind.

Follow along this month and to start taking control of your financial future!
