🧡 On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we stand in support of Indigenous Peoples and we honour the survivors of residential schools, their families, and their communities.
Today, we are wearing orange to stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples, acknowledge the painful legacy of residential schools, and reaffirm our promise to listen, reflect, and support meaningful change. We acknowledge that our office is on the Treaty & Traditional Territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. May we respectfully honour the knowledge and understanding of the Indigenous stewards of these ancestral lands and ensure that the voices of the First Peoples are represented in our collections, programs and services.
