Currently hanging out in Quebec City and got the chance to visit the head office today. As an advisor, it’s great to see in person all the support we have backing us up and how everything is operated behind the scenes.

I spent some quality time with our President, Louis DeConinck, and we ended up chatting about a ton of things completely outside of work. He also introduced me to his thoughtful team, who were so warm and welcoming.

It was a great day, and I am excited for what’s ahead! 🇨🇦

P.S. Found out Louis can bench 225 lol.

The Structure:
- 8 Teams maximum.
- 4 Players per roster (3 on court, 1 sub).
- Every team is guaranteed at least 3 pool play games.

The Rules:
- 1s and 2s scoring. First to 11 points (win by 2).

- Streetball rules apply: continuous play, no free throws, check-ball at the top after scores and fouls, and all changes of possession must be cleared past the 2-point line.

Finance Foundations for Whistler Entrepreneurs

My time in professional sports taught me that discipline and a clear strategy are the keys to long term success. I’ve carried those lessons into my life here in Whistler, both as a Certified Financial Planner and as a neighbour.

I am partnering with the Whistler Public Library to launch a free educational series: Finance Foundations for Whistler Entrepreneurs. My goal is simply to do my part in helping build our community through a shared learning environment.

I recently looked at the 2025 profile of my profession. Out of 17,443 CFP® professionals in Canada, the numbers tell a specific story.

Only 10% are under the age of 35.
Only 20% are based here in BC.
The vast majority work for the Big Banks.

Holding this certificate today, I’m reminded that being an independent, young professional in this space isn't the norm, and that’s exactly why I love what I do.

I didn't build my firm to fit into a statistic. I built it to provide a fresh perspective for people who want to do things differently.

To my family and friends, thank you for being in my corner.

To my clients, thank you for trusting me to help build your future.

The Final Word.

I was asked: With 500 advisors in the room, what is one piece of advice to elevate performance?

I’m still learning every day, but I keep it simple. For me, it comes down to Humility and Vision.

1. Humility: Ego and fear often block people from asking questions or networking. Humility goes a long way. When you see someone as a person instead of a title, the room opens up.

2. Vision: I’ve spent my life envisioning where I want to be. I put myself in that situation mentally long before it happens, whether it was the CFL combine or the moment I stepped onto that stage.

If you project the vision and believe it, your actions will follow.
