As expected, the Bank of Canada raised its base rate by .5% to combat inflation. If you have a variable rate, don't panic! Please reach out to me first, to see what makes sense for your needs.

The Bank of Canada today increased its target for the overnight rate to 1½%, with the Bank Rate at 1¾% and the deposit rate at 1½%.
