For the 2nd year in a row, my son and I accepted the challenge to participate in the Wheelchair Relay Challenge and raise funds for Spinal Cord Injury Ontario.
Did you know that every day, somewhere in Ontario, a person sustains a spinal cord injury? It is one of the most devastating events that can happen in someone's life. It takes an average of 2-3 years for a person to regain his or her independence.
SCI Ontario helps people transition from the emergency room to rehabilitation and back to the community. They offer customized programs and services that meet people's needs. To be able to reach the 33,000 people living with spinal cord injuries in this province, SCI Ontario needs your help. Watch Rob's video to learn more about living with a SCI.

My son, Girish and I will be participating in the Toronto Wheelchair Relay on Sept.21, 2014 supporting Spinal Cord Injury Ontario.
A spinal cord injury happens in an instant and lasts a lifetime. No one is prepared for the adjustment to living with a new injury. Thankfully, Spinal Cord Injury Ontario has the cumulative experience that comes from serving people since 1945, and so those who are newly injured and their family... members have a place to turn for help, information and resources.
