Wanterd: Full Time licensed assistant!
Shaw Investment & Insurance Solutions is a growing Sun Life firm in Waterloo providing financial services including retirement and financial planning, comprehensive estate planning and holistic insurance solutions to over 4500 clients. We are looking to grow our team with a driven, detail-oriented individual that has an avid interest in a role that helps clients achieve their financial goals. Our ideal candidate is a personable individual, a quick-learner, willing to take initiative and can work independently with good organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assist advisors with post-appointment tasks relating to clients
• Input advisor voice notes to Salesforce
• Client initiated service tasks
• Manage ongoing insurance business through all stages of the underwriting process
• Finalize insurance applications based on outcome (ratings, declines, etc)
• Process mutual fund trades and other transactions
• Data Entry tasks including preparation of client account documents
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree and/or Diploma in Administration or a suitable combination of work experience and education is an asset.
• A minimum of 1 year office administration experience in a high volume or fast paced environment is ideal
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to recognize/meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with ability to work well in a very close knit, team-oriented environment.
• Mutual Funds licence is required as obtained through the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), or Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC)
