Last week I was honoured to attend and speak on behalf of Desjardins to mark 100 days until the start of the 2026 Ontario Summer Games. This month, amidst these high gas prices and cost of living, with the help of Desjardins Insurance and our we were fortunate to do another big drop off of $500 worth of food to the The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. I have to say too, every time I go to the Food Bank to do these drop-offs, or like recently with my son's hockey team, volunteering there, I'm met by the nicest, happiest people. The Food Bank of Waterloo Region - You all should be proud of your team and the work you do for our community!

With food insecurity so high we were proud to make a donation, this past week, of $500 worth = 148 meals of non-perishable food to The Food Bank of Waterloo Region just in time for Christmas. Last week with the help of Desjardins Insurance and their we did a donation of $500 worth of winter gloves to Hockey Helps the Homeless - Waterloo Region and their "Drop the Gloves" program. Here I am with Rob Way, committee chair for Waterloo Region’s local Hockey Helps the Homeless campaign. "Drop the Gloves" is an annual campaign by Hockey Helps the Homeless - Waterloo Region to collect new winter hats and gloves for local shelters and those experiencing homelessness.
