Today is one of our favourite days — donation day! 🎁
Dustin made a special delivery to St. Joseph School in Fergus this morning to help support their school nutrition program with much-needed supplies.
2,000 cups, 2,000 plates, and 4,000 forks = $500
As you can imagine with 450+ students these supplies dwindle quickly and are costly for the program in addition to the cost of the food itself to do fresh snacks 2x per week and have snack bins full in every classroom 5 days per week.
All of this is possible because of the incredible volunteers who dedicate their time and the generous donations from community members who care. It’s a simple but powerful way to ensure every child has access to food throughout the school day, without drawing attention to those who need it.
As child hunger continues to be a growing concern, it’s more important than ever for communities to come together and support initiatives that help ensure no child goes hungry.
