Job Description: The role provides an exciting opportunity to join Novacap across all sector funds (Financial Services, TMT and Industries) as a Private Equity Intern. The Private Equity Intern will assist the team in identifying potential acquisition targets, conducting in-depth market research and providing ad-hoc support to the business development and deal teams.

The student will gain valuable skills in deal sourcing, financial modelling, business valuation, market research and due-diligence; and will work within Novacap's team of experienced professionals who have strong financial backgrounds in M&A, due diligence, business valuation, investment banking and operations.

Waterloo Private Capital will be hosting an educational workshop on finance recruiting for students at the University of Waterloo, regardless of faculty, experience and year. This event will be held on Wednesday, July 27, from 7:00 PM — 8:30 PM EST.

This educational workshop will be structured into 3 main sections and finish with a Q&A:

1. Opportunities
2. Networking
3. Interviews

Join us as we will go over our experience in recruiting for co-ops and summer internships. We will go over topics such as how to find opportunities, building relationships, interview preparation, and more. We will also share best networking practices and resources to further learn about finance.
