A public service for Scott will take place on Wednesday (August 26th) at 2pm at the Melita Curling Club. And we encourage people to stay and share stories about Scott following the service which will be led by Kurt Ardron.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Scott passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday.

Born on December 29th, 1984, Scott always had a passion for agriculture leading him to the University of Manitoba after graduating from Waskada school.

After eight years in the ag industry, Scott chose to begin his insurance career in the “family business” at Griffith Agencies. Scott will be remembered for his warm heart, incredible kindness and quick wit.

In 2009 Scott married Jen and the couple started what would be a life full of love together. They have three children that became their focus with family, sports and school keeping everyone busy. Their home, family and lives are full of love.

Scott will be missed by so many. Until we meet again.

Drivers in Saskatchewan: here's a heads-up.

SGI has announced that photo speed enforcement will resume in August with a new vendor. While the camera equipment is being updated, the program itself isn't changing—photo enforcement will remain at the same approved locations, with the same signage and the same fine amounts.

The goal continues to be improving safety in high-risk areas by encouraging drivers to slow down. As always, the best way to avoid a ticket is to obey the posted speed limit and stay alert behind the wheel.
