We currently have a position available in our Corunna office.
Myers Insurance Brokers is a privately owned insurance brokerage established in 1944. We offer a wide range of insurance products including home, auto, recreational, commercial, and farm. We are proud to have provided insurance services for several generations of customers in the Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton areas.
We require a full-time personal/commercial lines CSR in our Corunna office to service an existing book of business. Applicant must possess a RIBO or OLT licence for a minimum of 5 years.
Duties Will Include
-Checking renewal of policies for accuracy and premium. Invoicing of renewals. Remarketing of renewals where necessary.
-Processing endorsements as required for policy changes both in our system, and on company portals.
-Quoting, writing, and issuing of new policies derived from phone calls or walk-in business.
-Identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with existing clientele, and discussing these options with them.
-Liaison with company underwriters to negotiate coverages and premiums for the client.
-Reporting of new claims to companies, and follow-up with adjuster if becomes necessary.
-Processing of accounts receivable and follow up with clients on outstanding accounts.
-Address client inquiries.
What You Possess
-The successful candidate will be RIBO licenced for 5 or more years. OLT licenced individuals will also be considered, providing they can obtain their RIBO licence within 2 months.
-Must have personal skills and pleasant demeanor when dealing with customers.
-Ability to work with others in the office, as well as unassisted.
-Willingness to learn and become further educated.
-Familiarity with Power Broker, Applied Rating, and company portals, or the ability to learn.
-Prior commercial experience will be considered an asset.
