Today, we also hold space for the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who are no longer with us. Though they may be gone from our sight, their lessons, love, and legacy continue to shape our lives every day.

The Value Partners Investment Counsel (VPIC) Annual Meeting in Winnipeg ended earlier this week with a wind-up dinner at the Millennium Centre - a former bank on Main Street near Portage and Main.

This building was once part of the well established Banker’s Row at the turn the 20th century. In the heart of Winnipeg’s downtown, and the Exchange District, a national historic site, the former Bank of Commerce building was built in 1912 by Toronto architects Darling and Pearson. This landmark heritage building was a perfect venue to dine, connect and network!

As an Optometrist, before building my financial advisory practice focused on helping Optometrists create strong financial futures, I was once a student walking the halls of the University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science.
