Had the chance to meet with my mentor today and I just want to give her a big shout out.

We’ve been working together since August 2022 and I’m incredibly grateful for the time she has taken to share her knowledge and help me continue to grow. What makes it even more meaningful is that she does this completely on her own time — she isn’t compensated for it, she simply believes in helping others succeed.

Her processes have become absolutely flawless and every time we meet I walk away learning something new and improving my own skills.

I truly believe everyone should have a mentor — someone who teaches you, challenges you, and pumps you up when you’re feeling down.

Thank you for all the guidance and support over the last few years. It does not go unnoticed. 💛

Friday Treat Drop — Family Christmas Edition 🎄

This week’s recipe is Grandma Gina’s Christmas Cookies — a tradition that feels expecially meaningful this year as we celebrate our first Christmas without her.

She was such a big part of our family's life, and decorating cookies with her was always one of the highlights. With Grandma, there were no rules - extra sprinkles, wild colours, icing everywhere... and none of it mattered because we were having fun. ❤️

And in true Grandma fashion, just be sure you don’t forget you’re baking — she often had so much on the go that something in the oven would get “a little extra done.” The ongoing joke in our family whenever she burnt something was, “Well… the hydro is hot today!” 🔥

These cookies will forever tast like love, laughter and the beautiful chaos that came with baking with Grandma.

One common type of life insurance is called term life insurance. How does term life insurance work? Term coverage provides protection for a fixed payment amount, for a given number of years. This could be 10, 15, or 20 or more years. You can choose the amount of time you need. What happens if you die during this set time period? Then your beneficiaries – the people or person you want to leave money behind to – will get a tax-free death benefit. The death benefit refers to the amount of money your beneficiary gets when you die. The exact amount they get depends on how much coverage you buy. Your beneficiaries can then use the money from that benefit for any reason. For example, they can use it to pay: Debts, the mortgage or rent, child-care costs, tuition costs, funeral costs, living expenses, and more. Why choose term life insurance? Because of its affordability and flexibility, term life insurance can be a good solution to help you manage risk, while providing for your dependents.
