When I was 20, a serious motor vehicle accident completely changed my trajectory.
After a 20-month recovery, my doctor made it clear that my dream of a lifelong career in construction was off the table.
During my time on disability, my uncle helped me open my first investment account. That spark led me to study financial management at BCIT and build a career with some of Canada’s major financial firms.
But along the way, I realized something important: rarely do people come to a planner asking about individual market investments.
They come asking the real life-defining questions:
Can I retire on time?
Do I have enough saved, and in the right accounts?
When should I draw CPP and OAS to maximize my income?
Will my kids and aging parents be okay if life changes?
That’s why I earned my Certified Financial Planner (CFP®️) designation—to deliver the real clarity families actually need.
Today, my practice focuses on Gen X families in their 50s who are within 10 years of retirement and navigating the exact same balance of career, kids, and aging parents that I am.
