After 40 wonderful years with Thunderbird Insurance, I am writing to share that I will be officially retiring at the end of October.
Looking back over the last four decades, I am incredibly grateful for the trust and loyalty you have placed in me. It has been an absolute privilege helping you protect what matters most, and many of our professional relationships have grown into friendships that I will cherish long into my retirement.

While I am excited for this next chapter, leaving my clients is not easy. With the third and now fourth generation working alongside our experienced team, we remain committed to carrying on our family tradition of providing the same high-quality, dependable service you have come to expect. Our entire team is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition and continuing to take care of you and your insurance needs for years to come.

With this new responsibility, Jessica may be spending a little less time in the office than usual. Our offices will be closed Wednesday Sept 30 as our staff commemorates National Truth and Reconciliation Day.

This day is a good reminder that every child matters. We invite you to go beyond proudly wearing your orange shirts to partake in events, like the South Island Powwow on Wednesday at Royal Athletic Park, sharing in the reconciliation journey for our community.

Before you grab that last cup of coffee and head out the door, remember Sept. 8th is the day that kids will be out and about dashing back for their first day of school.

School Zone speed limits will be back in effect - 30 km/h from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. And in playground zones, a 30 km/h speed limit is in effect every day from dawn to dusk. There's some extra help knowing when you're in a school zone. Some of the local municipalities have gone the extra mile to keep our kids safe adding versions of these School Zone alerts on the street along with the regular road signs.
