B..C. Speculation tax exclusions so...is it just a coincidence - areas such as Parksville; Penticton, Summerland, Qualicum Beach are no longer exempt from the Speculation tax which are clearly tourist destinations. However Whistler, Tofino & Osoyoos are still exempt and happen to have NDP MLAs representing those districts. Just sayin'

No one can predict what the aftermath of COVID-19 is going to look like. We hope that all businesses make it, but in all reality, that may not happen.

If you are worried about losing your job, it’s almost imperative that you do this now because you won’t be able to qualify for a refinance without a job and that could leave you in even more financial distress later.

Any Canadian who has ceased working for a 14-day period due to COVID-19 is eligible for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit.
That includes wage earners, contract workers, or self-employed individuals; those who've had to stay home without pay to self-isolate or care for loved ones; and anyone else who hasn't been permanently laid off but has stopped receiving paycheques.
