Fun second night in the big city, where it was pouring rain and we are staying literally beside the most famous Arena in the world, where there was a show happening so naturally we had to find our way in, and lucked out with floor seats! Oscar got to meet Priyanka, who was behind us dancing the whole night and was so nice to him.

Such a great morning spent with the Goal Getters Team & a very special guest the Wealthy Barber himself David Chilton learning about how the book is still relevant 38 years later with his latest update to the book The Wealthy barber returns!

A few nuggets of gold here to share with the world-

1. The First Time Home buyers account is the most massive way to get ahead in purchasing your first home in Canada and the "love child of the TFSA and RRSP". This can pay you back 30/40% in tax credits the following year! You don't even need to pay it back either!
2. Don't overpay on your MER as it accounts for your overall nest egg in retirement-he says "1% is the goal for an active managed portfolio and .25% for an index fund ETF.
3. Make sure you have a will in place for your families sake, a lot of Canadians get lazy in this regard and put their family at risk. Ask me how I can help you get this off your to do list!
4. Market sentinment over the next couple of years in the Canadian economy is rocky right now and real estate may not be the best performing asset class but quite likely near bottom (hopefully anyway). The Stock market is a good long term bet but quite likely artifically high. Dependable for returns over more than a 100 years, as we have rely on business to innovate and problem solve for the issues we have in a very expensive world!
