Buyer beware!

SpaceX is set to hit public markets in what could be the largest IPO ever. Shares are priced ~$135, pushing the valuation to ~$1.75 trillion, with retail access through popular trading platforms and potential for significant inflows as indexes bend their own rules to include it early.

But the enthusiasm comes with a bit of a reality check. Major tech IPOs have averaged 55% max drawdowns in their first year. And at ~90x price-to-sales, SpaceX looks significantly overvalued, trading well above profitable peers like Nvidia (21x), Tesla (16x), and Alphabet (11x), despite not yet generating profits.
