What makes a great business? And just as importantly, when is a great business worth buying?

• Rogers Communications (RCI-B.TO) and the acquisition of the remaining stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment—why even exceptional assets can become less attractive when the price paid is too high.
• Copart (NASDAQ: CPRT)—a business we've long admired for its dominant market position, hard-to-replicate asset base, founder-led culture, and attractive long-term prospects.
• Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU)—one of Canada's highest-quality businesses. While concerns around AI have weighed on the share price, we continue to believe its portfolio of mission-critical vertical market software businesses is exceptionally well positioned for the long term.
