🌎 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺?

Markets change. Interest rates rise and fall. Inflation comes and goes. Geopolitics can be, as Jason puts it, “calm” or “spicy.”

But should any of that fundamentally change how a long-term investor approaches their portfolio?

🔎 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄, 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
On his latest BNN Bloomberg 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘭 appearance, Jason Del Vicario CFA, revisited the three Top Picks he shared in December 2025.

And six months can tell very different stories.

𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗞
The share price has moved lower as competition in obesity treatments has increased. Hillside continues to hold Novo Nordisk, with Jason pointing to the significant long-term opportunity in GLP-1 treatments and an increasingly attractive valuation.

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗢𝗙𝗧𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗘
Also lower since December, but still Hillside’s second-largest position. Jason continues to see strength in its resilient, acquisition-driven business model and believes its sticky customer relationships leave Constellation Software Inc. well positioned to use AI as a tailwind rather than a threat.

A 33% total return since Jason’s December pick. Hillside has been trimming the position as its weighting in the portfolio has grown, while continuing to hold Plover Bay Technologies Limited for the long term.

What makes a great business? And just as importantly, when is a great business worth buying?

• Rogers Communications (RCI-B.TO) and the acquisition of the remaining stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment—why even exceptional assets can become less attractive when the price paid is too high.
• Copart (NASDAQ: CPRT)—a business we've long admired for its dominant market position, hard-to-replicate asset base, founder-led culture, and attractive long-term prospects.
• Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU)—one of Canada's highest-quality businesses. While concerns around AI have weighed on the share price, we continue to believe its portfolio of mission-critical vertical market software businesses is exceptionally well positioned for the long term.
