Today I came across an incredible article that gave me hope for our planet’s future

It introduced me to a fascinating discovery, a fungus called Pestalotiopsis microspora that can literally digest plastic. Yes, this living organism can survive on polyurethane as its sole food source, even in oxygen-free environments like landfills.

It’s amazing to think that something so small could spark a revolution in how we tackle plastic pollution. Innovations like this could be a game-changer in the fight to save our environment and create a more sustainable world for future generations.

Not sure whether to call it a plant, a fungus, or nature’s own recycling hero, but one thing’s for sure: it’s worth sharing
