As of March 2nd, 2022:

Bank of Canada has increased the benchmark rate by 0.25%.

Prime Rate will be increased from 2.45% to 2.70%.

If you have a variable term for your current mortgage, best to double check your interest rate and to know if your monthly mortgage payments have been adjusted to reflect with the increase in the Prime Rate.

The Bank of Canada raised its benchmark interest rate to 0.5 per cent on Wednesday, a move that's expected to be the first of a series of small rate hikes this year in an attempt to tame inflation that has risen to its highest point in decades.
