Major news! The Bank of Canada recently decreased their key interest rate again - this time by .50bps. This is terrific news for those with a variable rate and/or HELOC mortgage product as your payments are expected to decrease. See the breakdown example here to how it impacts your mortgage payment.

Prime is currently sitting at 5.95% and we may see more rate drops in the months ahead. A reminder that this rate only affects variable rate mortgages and lines of credit. It does not impact fixed rate mortgages.

The thought of home ownership can certainly be an overwhelming topic as there is so much information out there but with the right team in place, it can certainly be attainable. By having a team that'll work for you, we can show you the way and provide plans to help you obtain your mortgage and/or real estate goals.

The Bank of Canada announced that its prime lending rate has increased by 0.75%.

This rate increase is happening to combat the impact of inflation going on across Canada and we expect this (hopefully) to be the last rate increase in 2022 and for the foreseeable future.

To go Fixed or to go Variable?! I recognize it's a lot to think about when it comes to your mortgage situation but there are solutions. I'm here to help so please don't hesitate to reach out.
