“Born and raised in Truro, Nova Scotia, I grew up playing hockey with the Truro Bearcats, where I learned the value of teamwork, discipline, and hard work.

After graduating from St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Finance, I began my career with iA Financial Group to help individuals, families, and business owners build confidence in their financial future.

This is what growth looks like. 💙

Different backgrounds. Different experiences. Different communities across Atlantic Canada. But one room, one team, and a whole lot of opportunity ahead of us.

One of my favourite things about getting everyone together is seeing just how much our group continues to grow and evolve. Some people in this photo have years of experience. Others are just beginning their careers. And there are more currently working toward joining us.

What they all have in common is a willingness to learn, take action, support each other, and keep getting better.

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it:

Consistent action creates confidence.
Confidence creates results.
Results create momentum.

We’re building something pretty exciting here in Atlantic Canada, and I have a feeling this group photo is going to need a much wider lens next year. 📸

There’s something pretty exciting about looking around a room and seeing not only where your organization is today, but where it’s going.

This week at our AGM, the room was filled with established advisors, developing advisors, and people currently waiting to begin the next stage of their career with iA.

Different backgrounds. Different experience levels. Different goals.

But a lot of ambition in one room.

I spend a huge part of my time recruiting, training and developing people, so moments like this are a pretty good reminder of why we’re building.

This week has been a busy one.

With a new advisor starting it’s always exciting and lots of moving parts! (He is doing fantastic btw) with all the excitement I was still able to get the sxs out and find two waterfalls (TLC just wanted to keep them all to them self by telling us not to chase them)

Help me welcome the newest member to our Truro team (working out of Halifax)

Hello everyone! I’m Binshid Ummer.

I recently started working with iA Financial Group as a Financial Security Advisor. I have called Canada home for the past 5 years, having moved here in 2021. Over all these years, I’ve learned how confusing and overwhelming the financial world can feel, especially if you are starting fresh.

I am so excited to be here to sit down with people and help them understand where they are, and how to proactively build a financial plan for their future without jargon and pressure. I believe everyone deserves to feel secure about their future and their loved ones.

Whether you are starting a family, planning your retirement, or just don’t know where to start, I’d love to help. Let’s have a conversation.
