Did You Know???...

We get questions about the use of RRSPs funds towards purchasing a home. Today, let’s discuss RRSP loans.

📍An RRSP loan is a lump sum loan that is deposited directly into your RRSP account.

📍It is a loan that with a monthly and interest payments, usually for a shorter period of time than a standard loan.

📍If you are considering using these funds through the first time home buyers program as part of your down payment, you will be able to do so after 90 days.

📍Keep in mind, this RRSP loan will also be included in your debt servicing ratio.

This is still a viable option as a source of down payment.
