Hey look, another Ibanez! Gotta love the “toonie tuner”, haha. This one needed quite a lot of love, and it got it: Fretwork, bone nut and setup (with NYXL 50-105 strings). This bass seriously rocks! Every once in a while there’s a guitar that comes through the shop that just makes me go “wow.” This is one of them. I’ve appreciated Teles for a long while now, but after getting to know this one, now I know I want one!

This lovely example got all new electronics, a fret level and dress, and was set up with NYXL 10s (still my all-time favourite strings for electric). The song for this post is by the band of this guitar’s owner — check them out, “PACKS”. Cool band. ✌️❤️🎶

This lovely Fender just got setup with the usual EJ16s from D’Addario — still my absolute favourite strings for acoustic! The song playing is one of my original songs, “For Winter”, which is off my second album “Eureka!”. If you want your guitars to stay in good shape this winter, make sure the humidity level where your guitar is stored isn’t too low! I try to keep things above 40% RH ❄️🎶

Taylor acoustics are known for being rather bright sounding guitars — very clear and detailed in the top end frequencies. This one has the clarity, but also an exceptionally warm and woody low end that I’m not used to hearing on Taylors. Gorgeous sound! This one got a setup, fret level, and an LR Baggs “Anthem” pickup/preamp system! ✌️❤️🤘

The Squier ‘51 is a guitar model that’s completely exclusive to Squier — that’s to say there is no Fender version. However, it got the name “Squier 51” because the design is largely based on the design of a 1951 Fender P-Bass. The song I picked for this post is “Rocket “88””, which is from 1951 — very fitting! — but that’s not the only reason I picked it… it’s also what many folks consider to be the VERY FIRST rock and roll record. Super cool! ✌️❤️🤘

As you may know, naming guitars is one of my many professions… This one got the name “twofer” cause I thought it wasn’t highly improbable that some beers were involved in the making of this rock and roll machine! This Squier Mustang has had a ton of modifications, many of which were at the hand of its owner before I even got my hands on it! My contributions were a bone nut, fret level, setup and a lot of extras: refining the custom gloss finish on the back of the neck and part of the headstock, repairing some chip out in the fingerboard, freeing up some stuck bridge screws, etc. This Mustang is a real stunner now! ✌️❤️🤘
