2022 HIRING INFORMATION
This year, we are looking to hire across all 10 chapters: McMaster University, Wilfrid Laurier University, McGill University, Queen’s University, University of British Columbia, University of Ottawa, University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, Western University, and York University.

The roles we are hiring include Investment Analyst, Junior Portfolio Manager, and Portfolio Manager, along with a Marketing Director, Industry Director and Events Director. We are looking for a diverse set of individuals with a strong interest in finance. You do not need to have prior experience, but rather showcase eagerness and dedication towards finance.

We are also hosting an information session on Wednesday, March 23 rd at 7:00 PM ET

The past year was a seminal year for the semiconductor industry in which the Covid-19 pandemic and strong demand lead to a worldwide chip shortage. As the supply-side recovery continues, many of the demand drivers are here to stay for the long run. Although the semiconductor sector is defined by its cyclical nature, the industry is poised to experience rapid growth driven by industrial automation, telecom infrastructure, and autonomous vehicles.

The Canadian cannabis industry has grown drastically since its legalization back in October 2018 and has set a great example for cannabis to be legalized and adopted in the rest of the developed world. The industry shows promising channels which can see strong growth in years to come. Special Purpose Acquisition Companies took 2020 by storm, with an unprecedented number of IPOs being executed. They presented an attractive alternative to the traditional IPO route as the process involved fewer rules and allowed for companies to be publicly listed significantly quicker. The S**C fever continued into 2021 and is expected to remain as an alternative to investors, but the proportion of S**C IPOS will likely decrease in coming years with regulatory crackdown.

The space travel industry is still young, yet has recently seen several launch tests having succeeded over the past two years. Although it is still in its infancy, the sector has already experienced many ups and downs. However, with the larger industry players achieving major milestones over the course of the past few months, investors are becoming more optimistic about the future of the industry. As the market leaders continue in completing their launch tests, soon these companies can begin launching customers into space.
