We are a non-profit DIY community bike space, cycling advocacy, education, and social group located in the Black Creek neighbourhood of Toronto.

Working under Regenesis York, CY works towards advocating for cyclists’ needs and services in the community. CycleYork is a cycling advocacy initiative running under Regenesis York that works towards advocating for cyclists' needs and services at both the Keele and Glendon campuses. Bike2York was originally a separate club that merged with Regenesis York in 2009. We run cycling-related events that focus on education, including bike repair clinics and educational events.

Through hands-on learning, participants are developing bike repair skills and working toward earning a bike of their own at the end of the program.

Join us for the 5th Annual Cycling Good Cheer holiday bike ride through Toronto! 🚴🎄

We'll meet at Cycle York at 10:45 AM, make our way to Lawrence Station, and then continue downtown to Gould St., following the subway ride south.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to dress in holiday costumes for extra festive fun! 🎅

Join us on Wednesday, September 11th for a special community clean-up event as we celebrate the 99th birthday of Rudy, a beloved long-time resident and gardener of the Black Creek neighbourhood! 🌷🎂

Community members from Cycle York will be gathering at 4:30pm and arriving at Rudy’s Garden for 5:00pm to help with the clean-up! Regenesis will be providing refreshments, bags, and gloves to volunteers on site. Our route will be a non-strenuous 8km ride there and back, consisting of side streets, dedicated bike lanes, and mixed-use trails 🍃

Join us next Tuesday, September 10th @ 5PM for a lovely cruise to Check-In Corner, Keele & Finch’s infamous boba and bingsu spot during Cycle York’s upcoming Trans, Women, & Non-Binary Tuesday session! 🚴🍦

This is a 10km no-drop ride with only one uphill planned on the route! We’ll be riding on side streets, bike lanes, and mixed-use paths along the Finch Hydro Cooridor! We’ll also be stopping by to appreciate the flowers at Rudy’s Garden 🌷

Please refer to the next slide for further details. Don’t forget your helmet and bike lights as it will get dark by the end of the ride.

Cycle Through Flavour: Finch Avenue’s Best Bites! Join us for another group ride this Saturday & enjoy a complimentary meal at Curry in the 6ix, Toronto’s infamous West Indian Curry Food Festival! 🚴🎉

We’ll gather at Cycle York at 2:30pm and roll out at 3:00pm along the the bike lane on Evelynn Wiggs Drive and the Finch Hydro Corridor! We’ll then cruise along the Finch Hydro Corridor Trail and cross over the 404 before reaching the North Humber Trail right by Weston Rd. We’ll then be parking along the street & enjoy the vibrant food festival! Following our visit, we’ll then be cycling back to the bike centre along the same route we came by with!

This 22km, no-drop, ride is a combination of mix-use trails and bike lanes. Please refer to the map on the next slide! And don’t forget your bike lock, helmet, and water to stay hydrated!

Trans, Women, and Non-Binary workshop sessions are resuming this Tuesday, August 27th! 🚴

Anyone who identifies as TWNB who would like to build further confidence in riding a bicycle is more than welcome to join our Learn to Ride session. We will be going over fundamental skills and knowledge such as safety, balancing, pedalling, and braking. Please bring your own bike and water bottle! 🪷
