The JN Bank Canada Representative Office is bringing the conversation on Jamaica’s real estate opportunities to Canada in September, with a three-day community initiative designed to help Jamaicans living in Canada and prospective buyers explore home ownership and investment options on the island.
The event, dubbed “Secure Your Piece of Jamaica: Your Journey to Home Ownership,” will be held from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, in partnership with Souperlicious, a well-known Caribbean restaurant in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). It will take place at the restaurant’s location at 1749 Jane Street, North York, in the heart of one of Toronto’s major Jamaican-Canadian communities.
Monique Broughton, chief representative officer for the JN Bank Canada Representative Office, said against the backdrop of a buoyant Jamaican real estate market, the event aims to bring those discussions around property ownership into sharper focus for people in Canada, while making it easier for members of the Jamaican diaspora and friends of Jamaica to understand
the steps to participate in the property market.
Across the weekend, patrons will be able to access one one-on-one consultations with experts including from the Realtors Association of Jamaica and explore a range of housing solutions from participating developers including West Indies Home Contractors (WIHCON) and Richmond Development Company. JN Bank will also provide information on mortgage financing and the home-buying process, helping prospective homeowners in Canada better understand the options available to them for acquiring property in Jamaica.
JN Group companies, JN Properties and JN Money Services Canada, will provide information on services that can support attendees throughout their home ownership journey. JN Properties will showcase its property management, construction, real estate and property maintenance services, while JN Money Services Canada will provide information on its suite of services, including bill payments and money transfers for transactions like property tax and mortgage servicing.
Admission to the three-day event is free. It will run from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Individuals interested in owning property in Jamaica are urged to attend to benefit from the information and expertise that will be available.
