Through a beading workshop led by leadership of our Indigenous Peoples Alliance, colleagues learned about Teachings shared from lived experiences, while reflecting on Canada’s truths, Indigenous resilience, and the importance of approaching reconciliation with intention.

The places around us can tell the story of the people who helped build our communities.

In Mississauga, a local park has been renamed Philippine Park to recognize the contributions of Filipino Canadians and create a space for cultural connection and community gatherings.

The renaming was a joint effort between OMERS employer, the City of Mississauga - Municipal Government, and the volunteer-led Philippine Park Association, with plans for future programming that celebrates Filipino heritage.

Turns out, some people would pay quite a bit to dunk their leaders.

Our recent Purpose@Work initiative raised $35.9K for causes that matter to our people and the communities where we live and work.

To help drive donations, a few brave leaders volunteered to take a seat above the water, and their colleagues were more than willing to test their aim.

While the splashdowns got plenty of attention, the real highlight was seeing what can happen when people come together to support causes they care about.
