🚨 RENTAL FRAUD ALERT 🚨
Rental scams are on the rise, and unfortunately, many people are losing thousands of dollars by sending deposits to individuals pretending to be property owners or landlords.
⚠️ Please protect yourself:
• Never send a deposit before verifying who owns the property.
• Be cautious of listings that seem too good to be true.
• Ask to see identification and proof that the person has the legal right to rent the property.
• View the property in person whenever possible.
• Be wary of anyone pressuring you to send money quickly.
• Whenever possible, work with a licensed Realtor who can help verify the listing and guide you through a safe rental process.
Your hard-earned money deserves to be protected. Take your time, ask questions, and verify everything before signing a lease or sending a deposit.
If you’re looking for a rental or have questions about whether a listing is legitimate, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help.
