Imagine a court room.
I know… no one likes being in court
But thankfully you won’t be there
Because you died.
But imagine you’re viewing it from the heavens
There’s a state appointed judge-
He’s been practicing for decades and used to have a passion for it but lately his hemorrhoids are acting up and he’s been a bit less patient as of late.
Your spouse is there, distraught with the recent loss.
Your kids flew in as well - they’re grown now, they have spouses, kids of their own, they’ve built a life for themselves.
But now everyone is here with the sole goal of figuring out what to do with YOUR stuff.
You left behind a lifetime of objects, collectibles, a property or two, and some cash in various accounts.
Maybe you told someone at some point what you wanted to have happen…
Someone was supposed to get this,
Someone else was supposed to get that…
But you never actually put it down on paper.
Just didn’t get around to it!
And then life ended,
abruptly, and unexpectedly -
as it does for way too many.
Maybe you even had a will -
Then as time dragged on, things changed and you never updated it before your unexpected demise.
And all you can do is watch now
You’ll watch your spouse plead to the judge about what you wanted.
Hes barely listening…
You’ll watch your kids bicker, argue, and eventually become enraged over trivial pieces of property they became emotionally attached to
They never used to fight like this…
You’ll watch them write check after check to the attorneys
Money they don’t really have to lose…
All because - YOU never finished your estate plan.
It’s a simple document that spells out your wishes to the T in a legally binding way which allows your family to completely avoid all the heartache, stress, and work
