Canada has taught me that building a life requires courage, hard work, and resilience.

For some, this journey starts in their birthplace. For others, it begins with a one-way flight, six suitcases, and nothing but hope and determination.

Protecting that life necessitates thoughtful planning.

Regardless of where your journey began, the life you've created, the people you cherish, and the dreams you're pursuing deserve protection.

Attended a powerful International Women’s Day gathering in Toronto organized in collaboration with OCASI - Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants – and Göçmen Kadınlar Dayanışma Platformu.

The conversation reminded us that gender based violence is not only physical- it can be psychological, economic, sexual, visible or silent. It crosses cultures, education levels, and borders.

What stayed with me most was the transparency, the courage to name systemic realities, and the focus on building strong, solidarity-based support networks for immigrant women. When women share resources, knowledge, and lived experiences, empowerment becomes real. Thank you Berivan Kutlay Sarikaya, PhD and Pinar Erdurmaz for your leadership. This is just a beginning!

Grateful to have been in a room where immigrant women uplifted and strengthened one another. This work and these conversations truly matter. 💜

Special thanks to Evren Başer and Huseyin Pusat Kildis for standing with us. Ending violence against women requires engaged, conscious male allies.

We all express love differently.
Some people say “I love you.”
Some people show it by being there when it matters most.

And sometimes… love looks like planning ahead.

Making sure that if something happens to your health or your ability to work, the people who depend on you won’t have to carry the financial burden alone.

🇹🇷🇨🇦 October was a special month. I celebrated the 102nd Anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.

At the same time, I was cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays with equal excitement. Because Canada is also home. It’s where I’ve built community, my career, and a life rooted in purpose and service.

In my work as a Life and Health Insurance Advisor, I see every day that no matter where we come from, we share the same hopes:

On October 19, we’re hosting a very special free seminar for our community — thanks to Turkish Community Heritage Centre of Canada - Turk Toplum Merkezi. Our goal is to help you better manage life’s risks — while also reconnecting with your inner strength through breath.

INCLUSION isn’t about doing something extra; it’s about creating spaces where everyone belongs.

This weekend was both busy and rewarding Treat Accessibly Toronto Halloween Village!

It was incredible to see our community come together to make sure everyone — no matter their abilities or needs — could feel included and celebrated.
