Just had a great coffee chat with Cora Naylor who is a fellow Happy Healthy Women member on the opposite coast of Canada (virtual has its advantages!).

Trying to manifest more relaxation, clear out some blocks i have around having so much to do, not enough time.

I’ve been at this insurance thing for a while. But- I still remember being a newbie.
And by newbie, I mean it.

The first time I met with a client, I was so nervous! That I would get lost and show up late, say the wrong thing, do the wrong thing.

We were all once newbies:)

The main thing is, I kept going.
First, meeting more clients. Then getting more comfortable having conversations. Then settling those first few policies.

And now? I don’t get nervous, I get excited.
Being able to help clients, knowing that what I do is so impactful- for them and their families .

If you’re not already there, I know you can get there too.

As part of my work I talk to clients alot about their health. Always looking to learn more about staying healthy, and as I get older I see we have to be alot more intentional and focused. Gone are the days that we can talk our health for granted!
Dont remember who recommended this book, but it is eye opening. For any of you in my network approaching 50, i highly recommend reading Younger Next Year.

Google is great for gathering information, getting some basic knowledge on a topic. However, the best next step is speaking with a specialist in the field, since they have the experience and important additional insight that you wont find on Google.

Having grown up in NYC with a tiny backyard, and very little greenery (remember the book A Tree Grows in Brooklyn? I grew up in Brooklyn 🙂), I always appreciate the beautiful gardens and parks we have here in Toronto.
This holiday weekend was a staycation for me.....the weather was amazing, and so enjoyed sitting in my backyard with the sun coming up through the trees.

Who else has been sitting at the computer too much and should be getting out more in this amazing weather? I see I need to do this first thing in the morning, since once i get on the computer and start meetings, the day flies by. I did also take 20 minutes to have lunch outside. Now pushing myself to get off the computer and go back out. Who can relate???

Met some great women, and the panel was terrific - great advice and insights on Money, Mindset and Manifestation! Felt so good to be in a room that was overflowing with positive energy and an abundance mindset!

I often explain to clients that health spending accounts and the Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC) can be used towards family members who are financially dependant on you - adult children as well as parents.

There was an interesting court case recently where the judge was quoted as saying “Lest anyone think healthcare is ‘free’ in Canada,” and ruled against the taxpayer's claim for his visiting dad's medical expenses. Reply in the comments below, and I will send the article to understand the rules of the METC better.

FYI- If you are self employed and want to know why an H.S.A is a better, more tax efficient option for you than the METC, comment below and lets set up a time to speak:)

Just read a great article where they asked Mark Cuban why he left Shark Tank- very timely and appropriate for all of my network of .
I completely agree with the author when he said "The goal is to give me the freedom to pursue other interests that are even more important--like spending time with my family."

And to constantly re-assess and make each decision in business based on that.
What are your goals and what is most important to you?

When I moved to Canada in 1988, Brian Mulroney was Prime Minister. Although not everything he did was popular, he had integrity and a great vision for all of us in Canada. If he were PM today, our country would be in a much better position than it is right now . We were extremely fortunate to have him as our leader for 8+ years.
