Here’s where a buyer’s budget actually stretches, from Toronto to Durham to Windsor to Ottawa. 🏠

Start with the GTA.
You stay close to Toronto, but look a little further out. Durham, Peel, York, Halton.

Then you go a little further. Hamilton. Kitchener-Waterloo. Barrie. Niagara.
And suddenly, your budget stretches a lot more. A Kitchener-Waterloo condo runs about $1,252 less per month than a comparable unit in Toronto.

Or you leave the orbit entirely. Windsor-Essex. London. Ottawa.
These cities don’t answer to Toronto at all. Ottawa is the priciest of the three, and it’s still a fraction of Toronto’s cost.

The further you go, the more your money can buy. But you’re also trading proximity for affordability.

There’s no wrong answer. Just the one that fits your life.

Things experienced buyers ask me that first-time buyers often don’t 👀

Rate matters. But the lowest rate doesn’t always mean the cheapest mortgage.

The features, flexibility and penalties matter too.
