A house. A tenant. And a $1,400/mo net.

Nobody told them they could do this on $96K/annum. But here we are.

Rental income not guaranteed — but the math works even without it.

Are you owning real assets, or are you letting lifestyle creep take over?

There’s nothing wrong with spending your hard earned money on the things that make you happy, but don’t let it prevent you from owning a home or investing.

What you keep will always matter more than what you make.

Thinking about buying? Use the link in my bio to schedule a consultation and let’s look at your numbers. 🏡

When your son bombs your recording session…

He really said “call my mum, she needs to get paid so I can get Beyblades” and honestly… he’s not wrong 😂

But here’s what’s wild, for most cases, you don’t actually pay me.

As your mortgage broker, most lenders pay me a commission once your deal closes. My job is to shop 100+ lenders, find you the best rate and terms, and guide you through the whole process. Free to you. No catch.

So if you’re thinking about buying, renewing, or just want to know what you qualify for — DM me READY and let’s talk. 🏡

(Nathan’s Beyblades are not your problem but he’d like you to know he’s rooting for you 😂)

Canada just entered a technical recession.

Q4 2025: -1.0%
Q1 2026: -0.1%

That’s two straight quarters of contraction — the first time since 2020.

What this actually means:

The economy is weak. Trade uncertainty, soft business investment, and sluggish consumer confidence are all showing up in the data.

It doesn’t automatically mean rate cuts. The Bank of Canada meets June 10 and this data puts real pressure on that decision, but inflation still matters.

The job market is the number to watch. GDP contraction hurts most when employment follows. So far it hasn’t — but that’s the risk.

For buyers: affordability could improve if rates respond. But a softer economy also means lenders tighten their criteria on some file types.

For renewers: now is a good time to understand your options before your term ends.

Your mortgage decision shouldn’t wait for certainty. It should be built around what you can control.

Help me answer this buyer please.

—-
your pre-approval tells you the maximum your lender will give you

your down payment is what YOU bring to the table

two completely different things

buying at $550,000 still means you need a minimum of $30,000 down, that part never goes away

pre-approval ≠ down payment

if you’re starting your home search and want to know exactly what you need, DM me “READY” .

This audio describes how I feel…😓
because stop hiding information from me please…I promise you there are so many checks and balances that the truth will be revealed!

First time buyer tip no one talks about 👇🏾

Telling your mortgage broker half the story is like giving your doctor half your symptoms.

The wrong diagnosis can cost you the house.

We are not the CRA. We are not the judge. We are here to find you a lender for YOUR situation.

Rotary savings/Ajo downpayment? Lender for that.
Bad credit? Lender for that.
Past bankruptcy? Still a lender for that.

But only if we know the full picture.

Transparency isn’t the risk. It’s the strategy.

The habits that were keeping me broke looked a lot like “being responsible.”

Buying a home I couldn’t really afford. Staying loyal to a bank that wasn’t loyal back. Holding onto bad investments because letting go felt like failure. Making long-term decisions based on last week’s headlines.

None of it was building wealth. It was just performing it.

Still unlearning some of this. But awareness was the first step.

What’s one thing that actually moved the needle for you financially?
