WHAT IS OPCF 49?
[Agreement Not to Recover for Loss or Damage from an Automobile Collision]
🙆🏻‍♀️Allow you to have a choice to opt out of Direct Compensation for Property Damage (DCPD) coverage; also opt out of Collision Coverage & All Perils Coverage.

💁🏻‍♀️Applicable to fully owned vehicles, unless you have specifically consulted with your leasing/financing company in order to sign the OPCF49 form.

💁🏻‍♀️With OPCF 49, you will not be able to recover compensation to:
- Repair cost
- The value of the vehicle
- Loss of use of the automobile; or
- Have the automobile or contents repaired due to damage
- Towing and storage costs

新手司機如何可以節省安省汽車保費

現在生活物價高漲，在安大略省生活每一項的開支，因為通貨膨脹的關係都變得非常大，而其中，汽車保險卻佔了很大的部份。剛剛到步安省的新手司機，因為沒有本地駕駛紀錄，汽車保險的費用比起其他司機更加高。所以今日我們討論一下新手司機如何可以有效降低汽車保險費用，讓你節省更多生活開支。

1. 計劃好住屋地點及車輛款式

如果剛剛抵達安大略省，準備計劃搬遷到新的住處及購買新車輛，可以於購買新車及搬遷前，不妨比例一下不同心儀的選項對於保費的比較。居住地點及汽車款項對於保費的影響十分之大，包括不同地區及車款的意外率及失事率，所以在購買車前可以盡量選擇保費較低的車款，及考慮搬遷到保險費用較低的地區。

2. 新手司機完成駕駛學院課程證書( Beginner Driver Education Courses)

新手司機在報讀駕駛課程前，可以參加駕駛學院課程證書( Beginner Driver Education Courses)，中文名稱有時稱為「全科證書」或「保險班」。獲得課程證書後，不但可以獲得保險公司高達15%的保費折扣，更可以令G1到G2的考試等待時間由12個月縮短至8個月，新手司機可以更快開始駕駛。

3. 二手車可以考慮只購買「三保」

如果新手司機購買二手車，而該車輛的價值不高，可以選擇只購買「三保」。全保及三保的分別，可以看[全保及三保是甚麼?]會有詳細介紹。

4. 安裝手機應用程式

有部份汽車保險公司提供駕駛記錄的手機應用程序，安裝這些手機應用程序不但可以10-20%的汽車保險保費折扣，更可以提醒司機的不良駕駛習慣，例如經常急剎車和超速等等的行為。如果新手司機有良好的駕駛習慣，當司機來年續保汽車保險時保險公司可以提供到更加大的折扣。

5. 安裝雪胎

加拿大的冬季經常下雪，安裝雪胎可有效保障到汽車和司機在雪地行車時的安全，更可以獲得保險公司的折扣優惠。

6. 增加墊底費

如果購買不希望購買三保而希望獲得更便宜的全保汽車保險，可以選擇增加汽車保險的墊底費，而墊底費越高保費就會越低。保險經紀通常都會有高低墊底費的價格比較，詳情可詢問你的保險經紀。

7. 同時在同一間公司購買房屋及汽車保險

新手司機如果在同一間保險公司購買房屋保險及汽車保險，可以獲得「套餐優惠」(Multi-line Discount)，如果在購買汽車保險前及早購買房屋保險，可建立到未來房屋保險良好的評分，評分越高，你房屋保險價錢便會更優惠。Multi-line Discount可獲高達15%的折扣，比起單獨購買汽車保險更加便宜，所以建議同時購買同一間公司汽車保險及房屋保險，節省更加多的保費。
