Running a business is one of the loneliest versions of hard work there is.

The financial stress most founders carry doesn't show up in a P&L.

It shows up at 2am, in the decisions nobody sees you making, in the weight of being the person everyone else looks to for certainty.

If that's you today, you're not the only one.

It's okay to say the numbers are stressing you out. It's okay to ask for help before it's a crisis.

Take care of yourself. That's the whole post today.

Which part of your AP process would fail an audit right now? 🔍

Most growing businesses would say none of it.

Most would be wrong about at least one of these three:

1️⃣ Automated capture
2️⃣ Structured approvals
3️⃣ Real-time reconciliation

Save this for the next time you're not sure what you actually owe 📌

One login. One person. 🔐

That's not an AP process. It's a risk waiting for the wrong week.

76% of organizations dealt with attempted payments fraud last year (AFP, 2026). ⚠️

The least protected are almost always running on a single approver.

The fix is simple:

1️⃣ Someone codes the bill
2️⃣ Someone else approves it
3️⃣ Bigger payments get a second look automatically

Save this and check your own setup 📌

Which part of your finance stack would fail an audit right now?
Most growing businesses would say none of it, and most would be wrong about at least one of five spots: document capture, bank feeds, payment reconciliation, payroll, and reporting.
Swipe through the five checkpoints, and save this for the next time month-end takes longer than it should.

Four questions, one carousel.
What counts as a performance obligation. How do you price a bundle. When does revenue actually get recognized. What happens when a customer upgrades mid-year.
Most SaaS founders have all four tangled into one confusing subject, when really each one has a specific, learnable answer.
Swipe through the breakdown, and save it for the next renewal or upgrade that catches you off guard.

A Stripe payout is never one number. It is a batch: gross sales minus fees, minus refunds, minus disputes, landed as a single deposit.
That single fact is why so many reconciliations do not tie out. The sale happened in one accounting period. The fee, the refund, or the dispute can land in a different one entirely.
Worth checking before your next close, not after.

Five tools. Five handoffs. One founder assuming someone would mention it if something broke.
Document capture feeds bank feeds. Bank feeds feed reconciliation. Reconciliation feeds payroll and close. When one link quietly breaks, everything downstream still looks fine, until it does not.
The fix is not a better tool. It is someone actually checking the handoffs on a schedule.
If your stack has been running on autopilot for a while, a Fit Check will tell you what is already drifting.

Your P&L looking off compared to your bank account is not automatically a problem.
Under IFRS 15, a subscription payment becomes revenue as you deliver the service, not the moment it lands in your account. The difference sits on your books as deferred revenue.
The only time this actually becomes a problem is when nobody on your team can explain the gap.
If SaaS revenue recognition has been quietly confusing you, a Fit Check will tell you what is already working.
