Insurance....what is it and why do you need it? It is really difficult to explain, why it is beneficial for you to buy smth, that MAYBE can be useful if something happens in your future and you will be really happy if this something will never happen.
When we try to understand what is 'insurance' and what does it mean for us, we have to highlight a few important points.
1) Your insurance - it is your FINANCIAL CONTROLE DEVICE, that allows you to maintain control of your finances NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. For sure, everybody can tell me that you have total control of your finances, that you always know what you spend, when you decide by yourself how to spend your own money. For sure, it is totally correct, but only FOR NOW! This feeling of control will be no more than an illusion if something happened. What will be if something does happen with the things that you bought (car, house, etc.), or with you? Would you be able to control how much the hospital will charge you or your family? how much the dealer will charge to repair your car in case of a car crash? How much it will cost to repair your house in case of a fire or something like that? In such time comes the understanding that the feeling of control was just an illusion and the only way to get back this control - is having insurance when whatever adjuster, repairman, car dealer, hospital says - is no longer your problem, - it is a problem of the insurance company and they have to take care about all these charges for you. IT TURNS YOUR PROBLEMS INTO THEIR PROBLEMS.
2) the second advantage stems directly from the first one: when somebody takes care of your problems, especially in your difficult time, you, like all of us, humans, will feel relief and the great feel of comfort, that our problems, that we supposed to be fixed and handling on our own are fixed and handled by someone else. These all produce a huge relief effect on our mental burdens and physical burdens as well. And this feeling that someone is taking care of you can only be delivered by very few products and insurance is one of them.
3) and the third and perhaps the most important point, that insurance prevents you from CHANGING YOUR LIFESTYLE. When you used to enjoy your morning coffee, travels, taking your family to the restaurant and suddenly something happened with your car, house, or you become disabled, you have to sacrifice your usual lifestyle because you have to pay money to resolve your problems. Degradation of the lifestyle, in that case, is inevitable and it is scary and shows you the big importance of insurance. Insurance gives you the possibility to maintain your lifestyle during this difficult period, so EVEN IF SOMETHING DOES HAPPENED YOU O NOT HAVE TO SACRIFICE YOUR LIFESTYLE.
