Ontario Auto Insurance changed on July 1, 2026. Under the Ontario Auto Reform, some Statutory Accident Benefits that were previously mandatory are now optional, giving drivers more flexibility to customize their coverage.

While these changes may help some drivers avoid paying for coverage they already have elsewhere, they can also affect who is protected under an auto policy following an accident.
