Innovate Niagara and Venture Niagara are proud to launch a new funding opportunity designed to help Niagara businesses and not-for-profit organizations adopt technology, improve efficiency, and strengthen their operations.

Beginning August 4, 2026, eligible organizations can apply for grants of up to $5,000 per project, with a total funding pool of $50,000 available through this pilot initiative.

Eligible projects may include:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Automation technologies
- Cybersecurity improvements
- E-commerce enhancements
- Digital transformation initiatives
- Advanced manufacturing technologies
- Software and digital tool implementation

Technology adoption is no longer optional. It is essential for organizations looking to remain competitive and resilient in today's economy.

If you're running a business and ready to take it to the next level, you should consider applying to the Starter Company Plus Program. As a Starter Company Plus entrepreneur you will get:

- One-on-one guidance from a Small Business Enterprise Centre advisor.
- Mentoring with a local successful entrepreneur.
- Access to business workshops on topics ranging from writing a business plan and budgeting, to executing a marketing campaign.
- Chance to compete for a micro grant, up to $5000.

Applications for the 2026 Starter Company Plus are now open, and will close on July 31, 2026.
