Yesterday, we were pleased to welcome Optimist Club of Tavistock members Jeff (L) and Jesse (R) to our office 😊. On behalf of our employees, Julie K proudly presented a donation to support the Optimist Park Improvements project 🌳🏡.
These funds were raised through our team’s efforts from Valentine’s Day Candygram sales 💌🍫, Popcorn Days 🍿, and other employee-led initiatives.
We truly have the best employees—always eager to give back and make a positive impact in our community! 💙🙌

PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE – FRAUD ALERT

is warning residents about a recent fraud occurring in the Town of Essex.

On Friday, May 1, 2026, police received a report that a resident had been contacted by someone pretending to be their bank teller. The victim was told they had exceeded their log-in attempts for their online banking and they needed to provide their personal information and change their password.

This is a scam. Banks, and legitimate agencies will never phone you and ask for your personal information or to change your passwords.

Residents are urged to remain cautious of unsolicited calls about financial matters. If you receive a call of this nature, hang up and contact your financial institution directly using the number on the back of your card.

Report any suspicious activity to police and Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre immediately .
