Parent Link is designed to support parents and caregivers in their role as children's first and most influential teachers. Parent Links are places or programs that parents and caregivers can go to with their children to:
· participate in play with their children
· receive information and referral support
· learn about parenting strategies
· attend workshops
and programs
· track the development of their child
· meet other parents
Lakeview Parent Link centres provide high-quality, comprehensive, accessible, community based programs to promote family wellness, positive parent-child relationships, parenting knowledge and skills, foster optimal child development, and to ensure that children get a healthy start in life through the following five core areas:
Parent Education: practical tools to enhance your parenting skills and build your confidence. Examples of our parent education programs include:
· Triple P Parent Education Sessions
· Active Parenting
· Self-Empowerment
· Kids Have Stress Too
· Other formal and informal workshops and seminars
Early Childhood Development and Care: enhancing parent-child relationships through fun and interactive programs for you and your children. Examples of early childhood development and care programs include:
· Play-based learning activities where children and parents interact
· Drop in programs
· Programs where children can explore art, physical recreation, cooking, etc. Family Support: an opportunity to identify your strengths, meet with other parents and share their experiences, and to build new friendships through:

Information and Referral Services: connects parents with programs, services, tools, and resources through:
