I am pleased to announce that I have been nominated by the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board as a candidate for VICE-CHAIR at the AGM on 12 March 2026, happening at the Sheraton Hotel Guildford in Surrey. Registration and breakfast will be served for members starting at 7:30 AM and the meeting will begin at 9:00 AM.

I want to THANK the members for electing me as a Director back in 2024. Having successfully completed my term, I am now taking the next step and running for VICE-CHAIR, having gone through the exhaustive vetting process by the Board Development Committee (BDC) of the FVREB.

Over the last 3 years I have been a volunteer member of the Stakeholders and Government Relations Committee (SGRC) and was Chair of the committee in 2024. Advocacy is the first pillar on our STRATEGIC PLAN and is critical for our organization and membership. I have helped drive the conversation around housing policy decisions, advocating for off-site and modular construction to rapidly scale up the supply of new homes and raising other issues that affect our members with respect to regulatory oversight.

Having received extensive governance training, I have done my best to represent the members at the Board table and be their voice in matters that impact them.

As VICE-CHAIR, I will continue to represent member interests vigorously and fulfill my fiduciary duties to the organization and our valued members.

I humbly ask for your SUPPORT and look forward to seeing you all at the AGM on March 12th.

Thank you 🙏🙏

All of the AGM related information is on FVREB Connect. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me:

"Of those, mom-and-pop investors, or those who own between one and five homes, account for 85 per cent of all investor-owned residential properties, while those with between six and 10 properties account for another five per cent."

New data shows how investor purchases of U.S. homes are rapidly rising as affordability issues prevent many would-be buyers from getting into the real estate market.

Today, the Bank of Canada held the overnight rate steady at 2.75% -- the first time since June 2024 that the Bank has chosen not to make a cut.

With rising uncertainty around U.S. trade policy and new tariffs in play, the Bank flagged growing inflation risks and a murky economic outlook for Canada and beyond as their reasoning to hold the rate.

Following two cuts to the overnight lending rate by the Bank of Canada, home sales saw a slight boost in August, according to the latest report from the Canadian Real Estate Association. However, the housing market still feels stuck in a holding pattern, leaving home prices mostly unchanged. 🏠
