Thank you for celebrating Community Futures Week with us!

Last week, we celebrated the entrepreneurs, businesses, people, partnerships, and communities that make rural Ontario strong, and highlighted the locally driven support helping them move forward.

A special thank you to everyone who participated, joined our webinars, and helped shine a spotlight on the impact of the Community Futures Program across Ontario.

While Community Futures Week 2026 may be over, the work continues every day in communities across the province.

Investing in local businesses means investing in the future of rural communities.

In 2025-2026, $99.7 million was invested in loans delivered through the Community Futures Program across Ontario, helping entrepreneurs start, grow, and strengthen their businesses.

Behind that investment are local businesses pursuing new opportunities, creating jobs, and contributing to the communities they call home.

During Community Futures Week, we’re celebrating the impact of locally delivered financing and the entrepreneurs putting those investments to work across rural Ontario.

Strong businesses help build strong communities, and strong communities help rural Ontario thrive.

Across Ontario, Community Futures organizations work alongside entrepreneurs at every stage of the business journey, providing local guidance, financing, and resources that respond to the needs and opportunities of their communities.

That support extends beyond individual businesses. Community Futures organizations also work with municipalities, community organizations, economic development partners, and others on initiatives that strengthen local economies and create new opportunities.

During Community Futures Week, we’re celebrating the businesses, partnerships, and communities contributing to a stronger rural Ontario.
