Christmas is over and now it’s time to evaluate your financial health. It’s not uncommon to overspend on holiday gifting and entertaining but now it’s time to assess the damage and tackle the new debt.

There are several low stress strategies that can help, such as listing all the cards with interest rates and balances, then focusing on paying off the higher interest cards first. Whatever motivates you as long as you have a game plan to start your new year.

Here are a few things to consider….are your balances greater than 30% of your card limit? Are you making only the minimum payment? Not only could your credit score suffer but it could take a long time to pay off those balances if you’re making minimum payments that are going straight to interest and not touching the principal

If you have equity in your home, we can help you consolidate all your high interest debts into one low monthly payment, increase your cash flow and protect your credit score.
