CONGRATS! This was one of the best referrals -
Buyers of this cute brand new 🏠 in Calgary were not necessarily happy with the broker they were working with down there, and their parents referred them to me 💛What an absolute delight to be a part of this next step in their young lives. A referral means a ton when parents trust their children to you - grown ups or not! 🙏🏻
The Calgary realtor was also wonderful - definitely an allstar team, including these exceptional young buyers doing what they had to, to make the dream happen.

Fixed rate increases across the board in this last week, so If you are purchasing in the next few months or are coming up for renewal, please reach out and see about getting a rate hold before they get worse.

> > If conflict ends and rates decrease a bit before your purchase or renewal, you will always get the lower rate anyhow 👍🏻

Markets are rapidly repricing inflation and rate expectations, driving bond yields higher and triggering a new round of fixed mortgage increases

No change announced today as expected⛔️
The economy is in the crapper as far as jobs, housing, etc, but then there is the opposing force of possible increasing inflation due to factors like tensions in the Middle East.
⚖️It’s a balancing act for the BofC.

𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄!
Beginning of the year forecasts from the country’s Big Six banks largely aligned on the Bank of Canada holding its policy rate at 2.25% through 2026, but then opinions diverge sharply for 2027.
Data is changing all the time and it will be curious to see how these forecasts may change.
Extremely unlikely to see that happening with tomorrow's rate announcement though 🤓⛔
