Over the past few weeks, with all the talk about U.S. trade, tariffs, we wanted to share the following about our products...
🍁🍁What makes our t-shirt Canadian? 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
A t-shirt is more than just fabric—it’s the work, creativity, and finishing process that bring it to life. The blank shirt itself is only a small part of the value; the real impact comes from what happens next.
✔ Designed, printed, and finished in Nova Scotia – Every shirt is created, printed, pressed, packaged, and shipped locally.
✔ Local printing materials – We use a Nova Scotia-based supplier to ensure the highest quality and keep business in Canada.
✔ Canadian distribution – Our blank shirts come from Gildan, a Canadian company headquartered in Montreal, and are distributed through a Canadian supplier that employs approximately 200 people.
✔ Supporting Canadian jobs & economy – From the outset of our business, we’ve focused on maximizing the Canadian portion of our process, ensuring the greatest benefit for our customers and community.
The Reality
The truth is, large-scale garment manufacturing in Canada is extremely limited, and even brands that claim "Made in Canada" often rely on imported cotton, as Canada does not grow cotton.
Most of the world’s cotton comes from the U.S., India, China, Brazil, Pakistan, and other warm-climate countries. No matter where a t-shirt is made, the raw materials are sourced globally.
If we used Canadian-made blank shirts, our tees—currently priced at $26.99—would have to sell for $50 or more, just to cover costs. That’s a big leap, and we want to keep prices fair while still supporting as many Canadian businesses as possible.
By keeping the most valuable parts of production—design, printing, pressing, and fulfillment—completely Canadian, we ensure that every purchase directly benefits Canadian jobs and businesses. ❤️
