We had a busy September here on the West Coast! ⛳️🙌

We were happy to connect with our industry partners and support some great events in our communities.

Here’s what we were up to:

⛳ Insurance Institute Annual CIP Golf Tournament – Thanks to Leona and her team for a great event, and to Burns for bringing everyone together.

🏌️ Annual Heavy Civil Golf Tournament – Always a great day on the course in support of the Western Regional Hospital Foundation. Thanks to Suzanne and her team for their continued work, and to Gary and the team at Humber Valley Resort for a fantastic meal.

🏗️ NLCA AGM and Golf Tournament – It was great to connect with industry colleagues and hear more about the upcoming Deer Lake Regional Airport expansion project. Thanks to Jennifer and her team for the delicious meal.

We were also proud to offer a $10,000 hole-in-one prize at our golf events. No winners this time, but there were a couple of close drives. Maybe next year! 👀

❤️ In October, we were also honoured to contribute $1,000 to the Western Regional Hospital Foundation’s annual Radiothon, helping support healthcare in our region.

A big thank-you to all the organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees. We’re proud to support the organizations making a real difference right here at home.

Last Sunday, the Steers crew showed up for CIBC’s Run for the Cure, bringing along the kids and even our fur baby, Maverick! 💗🐶

This day meant even more to us, as Steers was able to make a donation to Jennifer Noftall’s team, our coworker and a breast cancer survivor. 💪

It was incredible to see the community come together, with the Canadian Cancer Society raising approximately $18 million to support Canadians impacted by breast cancer. 🙌 🎀

⛳️ We told you there was more golf to come - and the players at the Alex Newhook and Friends Golf Classic did not disappoint.

Our Steers Insurance team was proud to sponsor and participate in this important fundraiser that raised over $160,000 that will help make a meaningful difference for the REAL Program, Newfoundland Cancer Care Foundation, Iris Kirby House, and KidSportNL.
