Our Executive team has joined with our Human Resources team again this year as a combined Act of Kindness to donate five backpacks to Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador's annual Back to School program. The backpack's were filled with all of the required school supplies and accessories that could fit in the bags. We're proud to be able to give back to organization's that give back to our communities.

Our Corner Brook team recently attended and volunteered at the NL Games and had the most fun-filled week! They assisted at the Athletes Villages, with desk duty and ensured that the teams had accommodations as soon as they arrived.

Member Service Advisor, Danielle stated "I attended the opening ceremonies with my family and we had a wonderful time, from learning the history of the games, welcoming all the athletes for the week, laughing at Trent McClellen and getting to dance to some live music it was a great opening for the week!"

Our team was so happy that they got to attend and we couldn't be happier to be a
Champion Sponsor for such a great event.

Congratulations to our CEO, Glenn Bolger, who was appointed to the board of directors for the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU). Glenn said it was an honour and a privilege to be named, adding, "This is a full circle moment for me as I was a World Young Credit Union Professionals, or WYCUP, winner in 2004, travelling to the Bahamas and presenting at the Rome conference as the sole winner from North America." The appointment became official this July at the WOCCU Conference and AGM in Sydney, Australia.

The NL Games start tomorrow, August 8 and we are so excited to announce that we are a Champion Sponsor.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Games unite youth from all corners of the province to compete in a diverse array of sports, celebrating athletic development, community spirit and regional pride. The games are happening until August 15th and you won't want to miss it!
